How to reach Brussels

By plane

There There are two airports close to Brussels:

Brussels National (Zaventem): http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/

This airport is about 10 km from the city centre. You can reach Brussels city center by train or taxi.

The airport train station is located below the terminal (basement level-1). Up to 4 trains an hour connect the airport to Brussels North, Brussels Central and Brussels Midi stations.
Timetables can be found on the Belgian Railways website. Enter  BRUSSELS  AIRPORT as departure station and BRUSSELS-CENTRAAL, BRUSSEL-ZUID or BRUSSEL-NOORD as destination station.

Taxis are permanently available in front of the arrivals hall. The fare from the airport to the city centre of Brussels is normally around € 35. Licensed taxis can be recognized by the blue and yellow emblem. Travellers are advised to avoid unlicensed taxis!!

Brussels Sud (Charleroi)http://www.charleroi-airport.com

This airport is about 60 km from Brussels. Best connection with Brussels is a bus to BRUSSELS-ZUID (Midi). The travel takes around 1 hour if no traffic jams. If you plan to arrive through this airport, please check the shuttle schedule in the following link.

Brussels is connected with high speed trains to major cities in France and Germany (Thalys) and UK (Eurostar). Time tables are avaliable on the Belgian Railways website.
