CP violation in the Higgs sector

by Clara Ramón Álvarez (Universidad de Oviedo)

Europe/Brussels
Description

In Nature, an imbalance between matter and antimatter has been observed. We can search for an explanation to such imbalance by studying the Higgs boson properties. In the standard model, the coupling of the Higgs boson to fermions is CP-even: observing signs of CP violation in the Higgs couplings would therefore be a clear indication of new physics. I will outline studies of the CP structure of the Yukawa coupling performed with the full LHC Run 2 dataset by the CMS and ATLAS Collaborations.
