Description
I will discuss the possibility of general flavour mixing in the squark sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. In the first part, I will give an overview of this framework in the context of current theoretical and experimental constraints. The second part of the seminar will be devoted to the discussion of potential links between Grand Unified Theories and (flavour-violating) signatures at the Large Hadron Collider. As a concrete example, I will present the case of supersymmetric SU(5)-like unification. Different tests addressing the SU(5)-hypothesis and (mainly) based on flavour-violating interactions will be discussed.
