Description
The Higgs boson is a fundamental ingredient in the Standard Model, but it has not been observed yet.
The main search channels of the Higgs at the LHC are reviewed, and recent theoretical progress in the calculation of the corresponding cross sections is discussed. In particular, we describe a numerical program, HNNLO, that computes the cross sections for Higgs production in pp and ppbar collisions up to NNLO in QCD perturbation theory. The program allows the user to apply arbitrary cuts on the momenta of the partons and/or the leptons (photons) produced in the final state, and to easily obtain the desired distributions in the form of bin histograms.
