CP3 lunch seminar : Two-photon exclusive production of BSM particles at the LHC

Description
At the LHC, the two-photon production of charged pairs can be used to
probe new physics. Indeed, it has unique signature and, for masses
around 200-250 GeV, significant cross-sections.
Using the adopted CalcHEP program, interfaced to the Pythia generator,
first analysis (DEA report) has been performed of the two-photon
chargino, slepton and charged higgs boson pairs in MSSM for several
benchmark points. First sensitivities estimates will be explained as
well as preliminary results from a 'complete' simulation through CMSSW.
In the same way, discovery potentials of doubly charged higgs bosons via
gamma-gamma interactions and consequences on lepton number conservation
will be discussed.
