Description
After reviewing Dirac-Born-Infeld inflation, I will discuss the mechanism and effects of particle creation during DBI inflation. I will show that the backreaction of created particles on the inflaton field gives rise to a new term in the effective potential and that it can be studied in a scalar-tensor formalism. I will develop the perturbation theory for any model of K-inflation coupled to matter and conclude on the possible appearance of features in the power spectrum due to this coupling with matter and compare such features to other well-known types of features.
