Diffractive processes have been studied for the production of a variety of particles and to look for New Physics at the LHC, providing a clean environment with rapidity gaps in the final states as the main signature of such processes. Thus, in this talk I will introduce the basics of Diffraction in high-energy Physics and the Pomeron 'zoology'. Finally, I will present the studies I have been developing for the Higgs boson production in order to present a phenomenological application of such Physics.
