Description
In the Standard Model, the quark mixing mechanism is explained by means of the CKM matrix. This model contains one single complex phase able to describe CP violation in both K and B mesons with predictions in remarkably good agreement with the experimental observations. However, recent B-factories measurements indicate some “tensions” with the SM predictions. Even if these results can not yet be considered as evidences of new physics, they encourage researches beyond the Standard Model. The main purposes of this project are to look for a common new physics source of the different tensions and to reduce the theoretical uncertainties affecting the physical observables.
