Description
Many new physics models predict heavy particles. Some of them are predicted charged and massive. Using a tool, developped at UCL, to determine the energy deposit of charged particle in the Silicon tracker, we can study and estimate the minimum cross section limit of production and deduce minimal mass of such particles. In this seminar, I will introduce the analysis, how my master thesis was linked to it and how the analysis could be improve to work with the increasing amount of data. Finally, I'll present analysis that could be developped using the same tools to study other kind of particles such as fractionnal charge particles.
