Description
Neutrino is massless in the standard model of particle physics. Different neutrino oscillation experiments suggest that at least two out of three neutrinos have to be massive. These neutrinos are very light. The smallness of the neutrino mass can be explained by well-known seesaw mechanism. The canonical, type-I, seesaw is mediated by a heavy right-handed neutrino. On the other hand, an SU(2) triplet scalar plays the key role in the type-II seesaw mechanism. In the ordinary type-II seesaw, this scalar triplet is too heavy \sim O(10^12 GeV), beyond the reach of any present or future collider experiment. We propose to consider two triplet scalars in the model, one of which is at the TeV scale. In this talk I will discuss how these two triplet scalars will explain the lightness of the neutrino mass and the possible collider signatures at the LHC.
