I will present some preliminary work on the possible quantum constraints involving the cosmological constant in a 1+1 dimensional model of (scalar) matter coupled to gravity. Following the 1-dimensional case, where the cosmological constant is forced to take values in the spectrum of the matter sector, I will sketch the main steps taken from the classical action to the quantum conditions for physical states.
