Measurements of exclusive meson production are a useful tool in the study of hadronic structure. In particular, they offer an excellent way to perform studies probing transition region between non-perturbative and perturbative Quantum Chromodyanmics (QCD) to better understand this QCD interface.
In this talk, I will provide an overview of meson electroproduction reactions and of Jefferson Lab (JLab). In addition, I will use pion electroproduction data taken in JLab Hall C in 2003 to briefly show the analysis procedure in order to obtain differential cross section results as a function of four-momentum transfer and talk about its implications in the study of QCD transition region.
