Observational constraints on Dark Energy

A review of the observational methods to constrain the physical properties of dark energy will be presented. A particular emphasis will be devoted to large galaxy surveys. Combining all the observational results that are expected, a precise determination of the parameter w (equation of state) of the dark energy is expected in the near future.
