Results of searches for exotic phenomena at the CMS will be presented for 20/fb integrated luminosity collected during proton-proton collisions at 8TeV. Selected benchmark analyses will be discussed, including searches for new physics with leptons, photons and jets. A description of techniques to identify the production of exotic objects such as massive long-lived charged particles will be also introduced.
