Description
I will review the main features of the meson spectroscopy. Their classification according to the quark model and the missing states. The predictions and experimental verifications of the Regge theory and the duality between different processes. I will explain how to write theoretical amplitudes for a given process and compare to experimental data. An application for the reaction pi^- p -> \eta \pi^0 n will be presented and compare to E852 and COMPASS data.
