Description
Minimal Walking Technicolor and the Goldstone Bosons - Tuomas Hapola (CP3-Origins)
I will give an introduction to Technicolor and comment on problems in technicolor model building. Moreover, I will discuss about the pseudo Goldstone boson sector of the Minimal Walking Technicolor model.

Dark Matter Interference - Eugenio Del Nobile (CP3-Origins)
After an introduction on Dark Matter and the evidences for it, I will focus on direct detection experiments. The situation is controversial, with some experiments like DAMA and CoGeNT and, more recently, CRESST, claiming to detect a signal but being excluded by other experiments like CDMS and Xenon. For this reason, it is difficult to find viable theoretical interpretations of the signals. I will provide a simple mechanism that can alleviate the tension between the various experiments, bringing the favored regions by DAMA and CoGeNT to overlap, and avoiding at the same time the bounds coming from the other experiments.
