Description
In this talk I'm going to present the search for Heavy Stable Charged particle using the CMS detector at the LHC. This particles are predicted by various new physics models. We'll see how we can look for them using the dE/dx tool, developed mainly by CP3 members, that measures the ionization energy loss of the charged particles in the tracker. I'll present my work on this subject and explain what can still be done. Especially the need of a High Level Trigger dedicated to our analysis, the improvement of the dE/dx tool, of the simulations,... Finally, I'll say a few words about the use of this analysis tools to the search for other particles.
