Marc de Hemptinne (chemin du Cyclotron, 2, Louvain-la-Neuve)
In this seminar, researchers from the Groupe d'Études et de Recherches sur Monde Arabe Contemporain (GERMAC) c/o Institut de Sciences Politiques Louvain-Europe (ISPOLE) will examine the structural, historical, and contemporary dimensions of violence in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Vincent Legrand will analyze the historical trajectories and long-term roots of the conflict, while Elena Aoun will address recent political developments and the micro-dynamics of daily life in Palestine. Together, they will explore dynamics of collective action and political mobilization. By bridging historical lineages with lived realities, this seminar will provide a critical academic framework aimed at fostering deeper understanding for more informed action.
The seminar will take place in the CYCL01 auditorium of Bâtiment De Hemptinne, and it will be in English.
