  this talks\, I will present the strong asymptotics of planar orthogonal p
 olynomials for the conditional Ginibre ensemble\, and then describe the re
 cent progress in computing correlation kernels and partition functions of 
 2D Coulomb Gases. This talk is based on recent works with Seung-Yeop Lee\,
