DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Samuel Alibocus (UCLouvain)\n\nThe Drell-Yan process
provides a versatile platform for a multitude of physics research\, from
precision Standard Model measurements and searches for new physics\, to de
tector efficiency studies. This talk covers two analysis conducted during
my PhD using Drell-Yan processes with the ATLAS experiment. Firstly\, a pr
ecision cross-section measurement of the charged-current Drell-Yan process
using the full Run 2 dataset\, performed at high-transverse masses beyond
the resonant W peak region - a region previously not measured. Secondly t
he neutral-current Drell-Yan process was used to perform a luminosity meas
urement during 2022\, a process known as Z-counting. This measurement is u
sed at ATLAS to monitor the stability of the primary luminosity measuremen
 t.\n\nhttps://agenda.irmp.ucl.ac.be/event/5824/
