Isomonodromic approach to matrix models
Abstract: I will review the notion of isomonodromic tau functions, as
formulated by the Kyoto school in the 80's and later generalized in the
works of Malgrange and Bertola. Then I will consider some examples in
which matrix models, relevant for their applications to combinatorics
and enumerative geometry, can be identified with isomonodromic tau
functions. The talk is based on joint works with M. Bertola.
