Abstract: We will investigate how sensitive eigenvalues of large deterministic Hermitian matrices are to perturbations by GUE matrices.
We will see that the sensitivity, on microscopic scales, depends on the limit distribution and on the rigidity of the eigenvalues of the deterministic matrix.
The talk will be based on joint work with Thorsten Neuschel and Martin Venker.
