Description
An introductory lecture on artificial neural networks will be given, followed by a hands-on tutorial. The lecture will present and explain main concepts in the field, with a strong bias towards applications in particle physics. A number of practical aspects will be discussed with a special attention. No prior knowledge on neural networks or multivariate analysis is required.
For the tutorial session you will need a computer with Internet access and installation of a modern release of ROOT (together with TMVA as a part of it).
