Description
Even if the standard model of particle physics is the most successful quantum field theory ever designed to describe all elementary particles and their non-gravitational interactions, several unsolved issues, on both theoretical and experimental sides, could be interpreted as signs of (yet) undetected standard model extensions. In the present thesis, we exploit the very characteristic CP violating structure of the standard model together with the current ε' parameter measurement to achieve two main goals. First, we build a set of theoretical connections among radiative and rare Kaon decays which, combined with forthcoming Kaon decay experiments results, will open new directions in New Physics indirect searches and will also help to discriminate between such alternative scenarios. Second, we suggest a novel way to simply and reliably compute the electroweak quantum corrections to the strong θQCD parameter.
