Effective approaches to baryon number violation at the LHC - Gauthier Durieux Baryon number violation (BNV) is present in numerous BSM models, requested for standard baryogenesis, severely constrained by low energy experiments but, nonetheless, yet unconstrained directly beyond GeV scales. We therefore adopted a model independent effective approach to examine the possibility of its observation at the LHC. In this short talk, I'm going to first discuss the minimal effective BNV model (arXiv:1107.3805 [hep-ph]) before moving on to explorative considerations concerning the impact of the Minimal Flavour Violation (MFV) hypothesis on BNV effective theories (arXiv:1105.1723 [hep-ph]). ----------------------- & ----------------------- Fourth generation aspects and supersymmetry - Karen De Causmaecker I will mainly follow the article 'Four Generations: SUSY and SUSY Breaking' (arXiv:0911.1882) and consider the constraints on the fourth generation fermion masses following from the requirement that the Yukawa couplings should stay perturbative.
