Description: Abstract:

Since the detection by Advanced LIGO/VIRO of gravitational waves emitted by black holes with masses beyond most expectations, primordial black holes (PBH) have seen a revival of interest as a possible Dark Matter candidate, supported by the coincidence between inferred merging rates by LIGO and the expected rates for PBH abundances comparable to the Dark Matter. I will review the recent and less recent observations that constrain or support the abundance of Primordial Black Holes in the mass range [1-100] Msun and I will highlight a possible formation mechanism in the context of hybrid inflation.
Finally, I will list the pros and cons of this scenario, as well as its observational perspectives.
